Interestingly enough, the price of the Xbox Series S hardware will remain the same. Like Sony's price hike on the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series X will be increasing in price mostly in other countries, with the change set to go in effect on August 1st. In addition to the increase for Game Pass, the cost of an Xbox Series X will also be increasing, but not in the U.S. At this time, it's unclear why, but those that prefer to use the service on PC versus console or through cloud gaming should be happy to hear that! They did mention, however, that “as with all games developed by our teams at Xbox”, these games are available on the Game Pass on release day.Those that exclusively subscribe to Xbox Game Pass for PC will be happy to know that the current price for that service will not be increasing.
